Model answers (aimed at band 7+)
Do you live in a house or a flat?
I live in a flat on the fifth floor of a fairly new building with my parents and my younger sister. It's not huge, but it's bright and it's in a quiet neighbourhood, which I really appreciate.
Which room do you like most in your home?
Probably the kitchen, because that's where everything happens in our family. We eat there, we talk there, and in the evenings my mum and I often drink tea and catch up on the day.
What would you like to change about your home?
If I could, I'd add a small balcony garden. We have a balcony, but at the moment it's mostly used for storage, and I think a few plants would make the whole place feel more relaxing.
What kind of home would you like to live in in the future?
I'd love a house with a yard, like the one my grandparents have in the countryside, where you can sit outside in summer. But realistically I'll probably start with a small flat near my work.

How to answer
- Combine adjectives when you describe a place: "bright and spacious", "small but cosy".
- For "What would you like to change?", use a conditional: "If I could, I'd...".
- Talk about life in the home, not just the building: who you live with and what you do there.
- For a traditional Uzbek house with a yard, say "a house with a yard" or "a courtyard".
